Raised in the cool hills of Manchester,
Jamaica, this emerging songstress has graced another Jah Scout single
with her heavenly voice. Last year you heard Cecile's silky harmonies
on songs like Seek Jah Blessing by Paul Elliott. This time
she steps forward on to the main track and delivers her own tender
crossover ballad,
Let Me Know.
Cecile started out writing poems and turning them into melodies at an young age. With Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, and Smokey Robinson as inspiration, she "vowed" to head in the direction of music. She busted out with her first release at 15. Soon after, influencial producers in Kingston noticed this blossoming young woman's sensual voice. She ended up recording her own songs and backing other Jamaican singers, sweetening choruses with her seductive notes. Some of her harmonic duties include backing Anthony B on Star Trail as well as Norris Man and others on the King of Kings label.
Cecile's first release on Jah Scout,
Let Me Know, is
a girl-pleaser and a sure bet for your lovers-rock mix.
